Sean Meehan understands the exterior home improvement and remodeling industry. Working for an industry leading business for almost a decade, he generated more than $4 million in sales on his own. On top of that, he spent four years conducting in-home sales appointments and three years running multiple teams of 5+ people that produced more than $4 million a year in sales. He understands exactly what needs to be done when meeting with homeowners and can coach your sales team to do the same. He teaches the most effective home improvement sales techniques and best practices and delivers sales management training to help translate your “contractor speak” into something customers will understand – and buy.
After establishing himself as a consummate exterior home improvement sales professional by playing an integral role in growing his previous company to more than $65 million, he was ready for a new adventure. Knowing what it takes to successfully sell exterior home improvement services, Sean decided to focus on sales coaching to help other people become in-home selling superstars themselves and scale their own sales teams.
After a brief stop at a software company, which developed Portfolio (the software tool he continues to use as part of his sales process), Sean teamed up with his uncle, Tom Matte, to create Matte Meehan Consulting. He is inspired and excited about the opportunity to have more freedom and tackle a new challenge of helping exterior home improvement businesses scale and brand their companies through sales leadership training and branding.
Sean handles sales training for exterior home remodeling companies from soup to nuts, including breaking down lead generation, reviewing specific key performance indicators and developing a scalable sales process. Working closely with Tom, a branding expert himself, he helps leverage a home remodeler’s identity and reputation to develop home improvement sales presentations and strategies that give them the tools and confidence to close the sale.
Sean grew up in a small town in New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University. Still in New Jersey, he now lives in his first home with his wife Emily. As a new father, Sean spends a lot of his time changing diapers! Sean enjoys Jiu-jitsu, weightlifting and yoga.
