We’re famous for saying your logo is not your brand, it’s an extension of your brand. It is a visual representational of who you are as a company that helps you increase name recognition, set your company apart from its competitors, and market your business to those that need your services is by having an exterior home remodeling logo.
In many cases, the first time a consumer will see your logo is on the side of one of your trucks while you are installing a roof in a local neighborhood. This is not a place where you want to be subtle, so use bold colors and make it clearly recognizable from a distance. By the way, you should also keep those trucks clean since they are one of the most visible marketing tools you have. Believe it or not, people jump to conclusions quickly, and may assume a dirty truck means you may do less than perfect work.
A good exterior home remodeling logo also needs to be adaptable and work in a variety of applications. Not only should it stand out on your trucks, but it should look good on crew members’ shirts too. It should be legible on the web but also on any printed materials you create. (Speaking of print, direct mail postcards are a great way to promote your roofing business. But we’ll cover that in another post.)
After a consumer spots your truck in the neighborhood, they’re more than likely going jump on the web and do some more research if they are in need of your services. It’s important that your logo and the content on your website, social media accounts and review sites accurately depict your business. It all needs to have a similar look and feel to add a level of professionalism that people want to see and that develops a level of trust that makes them comfortable and more likely to hire you over others.
Logos are just one of the extensions of your brand in a comprehensive branding strategy. It is important to think of all the places and ways that your company will be seen and make sure everything you do is consistent, professional and clearly represents your company in its best light. If you aren’t sure where to start, we can definitely help!
